Blender

If you've configured a blender path within the settings, the extension will allow you to open geometries and products directly in blender.

As a pre requisite, you need to install the OpenConfiguration and OpenCTM plugin versions for your blender version. The plugins can be found here: https://git.intelligentgraphics.biz/ig.graphics.data/tools/-/tree/master/Importers/Blender?ref_type=heads.

Open a geometry in blender

Whenever your mouse is active within the name of a geometry, a quick action to open it in blender will appear in the menu of the light bulb.

After selecting the quick action, you can choose which file of the geometry should be opened.

For ctm and obj files we will automatically apply a grid texture and also set the normal map, if there is one for the geometry.

Aside from the quick actions, you can also use commands for the same functionality. These commands can be executed when a geometry name is clicked, or when a geometry info.json file is active.

Open a product in blender

Similarly to a geometry, you may also open a complete product in blender.

This action is available any time your mouse is active within a product.
